ABOUT

Hello, hello! As you may have probably ascertained by now, my name is Alison! I am a professional artist and web designer, having built this website myself utilizing primarily HTML and CSS.

Despite having been born and raised in Northern Kentucky near Cincinnati, living here for me entire life, I have an insatiable wanderlust. In 2015, I went to live in Germany for a month as an exchange student with a host family. While there, I attended St. Lioba Gymnasium in Bad Nauheim. Yes, I am able to speak German, though I am far from fluent.

The mighty steed pictured with me in this photo is named Baylee, a lesson horse I rode while I was a part of NKU's Equestrian Team. I was even the vice president of that team at one point! Baylee was the first horse I have ever learned to properly ride on. He's a grumpy old man with a tendency to bite, but there is no other horse safer to be put on the back of. Being a part of this team has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, allowing me to achieve one of my lifetime dreams of learning how to ride a horse.

A horse girl since forever, I picked up art as a way to cope with not being able to own a horse when I was a child. If I couldn't own one, the next best thing was to look at as many pictures of them as possible, including making my own pictures of them to look at. Over time, I became better and better at drawing, and people started to notice! They would ask me to draw them a picture of a horse, and I would happily oblige. This is where I can say I started to take art more seriously other than just a fun hobby. People were interested in my horse drawings!
